fast progress down South

In the sole expedition attempting the South Pole from the coast this season, Ryan Waters and Cecilie Skog are setting a scorching pace. Despite heavy sledges and having to climb, they have already reached the Antarctic plateau and stand a good chance of travelling a good distance beyond the Pole before the end of the season.
